Bad day on the mountain! Mike responded on a Sunday to install the part I needed to get back on the road. Great service answered all my questions and completed work in less time than quoted. Would recommend RTC to any one needing emergency service.
Excellent retreat!! Unplanned break down brought my cousin and I to this secluded wonderful place. Everything we needed and restful sleep! Beautiful decor of the surrounding area. Would visit again. Highly recommend!
RTC is hands down the only company I trust to touch any of my equipment. When you rely on machinery to make a living, you need mechanics who actually know what they’re doing—and these guys are the best in town. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and professionalism are on another level. They don’t just fix problems, they understand the machines and make sure everything is dialed in right. Turnaround times are solid, communication is clear, and you always feel taken care of. I’ve worked with a lot of shops over the years, and nothing compares to RTC. They’ve earned my business for life. If you want it done right the first time, this is the place to go.
I had a very frustrating and expensive experience with this shop, and I want to share it so other drivers—especially those traveling through—are aware. I brought my 2018 Freightliner M2 106 in for a DPF/emissions issue. I made it clear from the beginning that I am not from the area, my truck broke down while traveling, and I needed to get back on the road. Because of that, I had to rely on their diagnosis and honesty. First, I was told the issue was a NOx sensor, and I approved that repair. I was charged around $1,500 just for replacing that sensor, with the understanding that it would fix the problem. However, after that repair, the exact same issue was still there. Nothing changed. I had to bring the truck back again. On the second visit, I was then told the problem was much bigger and that the DPF/DOC system needed attention. They removed and inspected the system and showed me pictures of soot buildup, which looked like normal wear—not clearly destroyed components. They then charged me: $1,880 in labor (8 hours at $235/hour) just for removing and inspecting the DPF system $169 in “shop supplies”, which is unusually high Additional environmental and card processing fees Total for this visit was over $2,100, even though no major repair or replacement was completed—just inspection and disassembly. In total, I spent over $3,500, and the original problem was still not properly resolved. What made this experience worse was the pressure. Since I told them I was from far away and needed to leave the state, I felt like my situation was used against me. I was told I could not take my truck unless I arranged a tow truck, which created urgency and made it harder to make decisions calmly. Because of this, it really felt like: Misdiagnosis (NOx sensor replacement did not fix anything) Excessive labor charges for inspection work Inflated fees (especially shop supplies) Pressure applied because I was an out-of-town driver trying to leave the area Lack of clear upfront explanation and breakdown before work was done I understand that diesel diagnostics can be complicated, but customers should not feel pressured or taken advantage of—especially when they are stuck far from home. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this shop: Get a clear diagnosis plan before approving repairs Ask for a detailed labor estimate and hourly rate upfront Be cautious about replacing parts without confirmed root cause I hope this review helps other drivers avoid going through the same situation.I am not against paying for honest work—I just expect accurate diagnosis, fair pricing, and clear communication.******UPDATE***** (Owner Response Clarification): When I first brought the truck in, it had the same issue and fault code as the second visit. I approved the NOx sensor replacement based on the diagnosis that it would fix the problem. However, after that repair, the issue did not change at all. The same problem remained, which is why the truck had to return. I also want to clarify that I did not request any emissions delete or removal. I only wanted the issue properly diagnosed and fixed. My concern is that the original issue was not resolved after the first repair, leading to additional costs without fixing the problem.
