Getting a pod or something similar is so essential since I’m pregnant and cannot sit in a long U-Haul ride to New York. Where I live is 13 miles outside of their radius. 13 miles… so you’d assume they’d be able to make an exception. Especially since they’d be getting $4k from us. My partner is working and settled in New York and I’m in Texas trying to find a trust worthy solution to move my belongings. I am very disappointed that they not only denied me the 13 mile difference, but said I could self deliver my items an hour away from my house after I mentioned I am pregnant. And then in addition to this, I was told they’d give me a call within 3 days to see if I was approved and they never called me to tell me I was denied. It’s sorry when companies don’t have compassion. I’m moving in a month and I’m back at square one.
Customer service is trash. They will claim to not be able to deliver your pod without getting a second opinion and they hold up your money for days before returning it to your account. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Their automated phone service doesn't seem to have an option to dial with someone. The daily 'Action Required' via email to confirm my appointment is very annoying. I'm ready for the delivery. I was ready for it the day I placed the order. How many times do I have to confirm, and may I please speak to a person so we can get all the 'required action' taken care of at once.
Great service from the people of PODS from the sales associate to the drivers. I like packing my own goods and this has been the best way I've moved cross country.
I recently contracted with PODS to pick up/store and deliver to my new house a single pod. As others have said the initial drop off and pick up of the pod was smooth and without event. The nightmare started when I wanted it delivered to my new house. The delivery scheduled said it would be delivered between 8:30 and 11:30. I had hired movers to help unload so based on their schedule I had the movers come at 11:30 thinking I had it covered. We'll the movers were here and on the clock but no pod. I called and was told he was a little behind and would be here by 12:15. Nope that didn't happen either. I called again and was told they had been trying to reach me but the number in their system was PODS toll free number, strange because they were able to reach me easily when they first picked it up. To end the rambling about my horrible experience he showed up at 2 and we got it unloaded, BTW he ran over my sprinklers while setting the pod. A case was opened and closed on my claim they needed to compensate me for the time the movers were waiting without even talking to me. Do not use these guys unless you just have no other options.
