Driver nearly ran me off the road on 421 through the mountains, while also speeding, easily over 80mph and weaving in between lanes. Tailgated me so close I couldn’t see his lights. I hope highway patrol is able to cite him after my report.
They train their drivers to break state law. Their driver hit us, then refused to exchange information. Be careful out there. Not a good trucking company if the driver was telling the truth about what his boss instructed him to do. NC plate NL-1916
My wife, my daughter, my son, and myself were traveling on interstate 40 westbound on Tuesday, July 12th when our Toyota Avalon was struck by your truck with trailer # L818076 next to exit 44 at exactly 6:28pm. Fortunately it only knocked my mirror off. It was an extremely close call, 6 inches to the left and it could have spelled doom for my entire family. We are okay, but rattled. My wife dialed 911 immediately and I sped up to try and get your driver to pull over, to no avail. I don't think he realized he hit us and probably thought we were some crazy car breaking in from of him and signaling for him to pull over. We were transferred between several police dispatchers until one of them looked up the plates and gave us your contact information. We have tried calling several numbers on multiple occasions and haven't had anyone call us back. My wife spoke with someone who hasn't called us back either. Check your emails and PLEASE contact us regarding this serious matter. I've tried contacting you in myriad ways. We are very fortunate to be alive. I appreciate your prompt reply concerning this serious matter. All we want is for our mirror to be fixed. I would NEVER use this company. While traveling I-95 northbound pass the Brunswick exit we encountered a dangerous driver of this company on the interstate. It had the Douglas & Son logo on the back of the truck, #930, tag # L-816243. Since my husband was driving I took a pic and decided to look them up. We were in the center lane, going about 78mph, and noticed their 18 wheeler riding our butt way too close for about 4 miles! They finally decided to pass on our right, speed up and cut in front of us. Traveled with us at normal speed for about a quarter of mile then sped up again and was lost from view after about 3 mins. I hope this company carries good insurance. They will need it one day with a driver like this.
