Becareful driving around and behind the CTI (Chavez Trucking Inc) transfer loader trucks. I commute everyday on Hwy 505. Their truck drivers never close the trap doors on the transfer loader and the trucks rain mud and rocks onto the freeway. I have have had several rock chips on my hood and windshield. I got a new rock chip on my car this morning.
Im always very cautious driving around these trucks and try to avoid being behind them due to rocks and gravel being thown. This particular driver cut in front of me 3 times even tho i was speeding up to get around them causing my windshield to get hit by multiple rocks leaving a massive crack that im goin to have to repair. Cant get a hold of anybody on both of their phone numbers listed. Terrible drivers and truck company in general. Chavez Transport Inc.
Was merging on the freeway headed towards Fairfield towing a double axle trailer with 8,000 pound forklift on the back, signaled to merge on the freeway driver sped up to keep me from getting on, when there was an available empty lane for his to get over into. Instead I was forced to slow down and run on the side of the emergency lane till he passed me. I hire lots of truck drivers for different delivery’s but definitely won’t be using them now due to this.
Giant white transfer truck was dumping gravel consistently while driving up the one oh one and now I have a bunch of rock chips in my paint and windshield because I had to merge behind the guy and in the amount of time it took me to maintain a lower speed to get away from him I got rained on by rocks. To top it off, I called it in and they did not care.
I have never seen a gravel truck throwing so much gravel onto the freeway. Cars were honking, cars were slamming on their brakes, cars were pulled over on the side of 505 for miles. I called 911, it was a huge hazard. I had paint chips all over my truck and my window was broken in 11 places. I honked and honked at the driver but no response. I called and left messages with the company about repairing my vehicle and no response. I am not kidding gravel was raining down, in the 15 seconds it took me to pass this truck I must have been hit with 500 pieces of gravel. How do you allow drivers like this to work for you and be on the road? I hope his license has been taken away. Terrible company with no integrity.
