I've been using CR for many years for regular maintenance on my gas fireplace insert. I received a 3 hour window for my call date and Jeff arrived within 20 minutes of the first hour...nice! He went right to work, cleaned out everything and made sure my ( not cleaned in 5 years...bad me) thermopile/thermocouple and pilot were working perfectly. He even cleaned the glass cover. Fireplace is running excellent and at a great time with this disgustingly cold weather. Wife is happy, I'm happy! Even the cat is happy! I had a very positive experience with CR Gas Logs & Fireplaces. They were recommended by a close friend. Brian came to my home (almost an hour away) and provided a free estimate. I met with him in the showroom and he explained all the options and answered all my questions to help me make an informed selection from a wide variety of fireplace interiors, exteriors and logs. The project included a very labor intensive removal of my wood stove insert and installation of a new propane fireplace. Bill and Jeff were professional and courteous. I had a great experience from start to finish working with CR Logs & Fireplaces. Brian came to my house to give me an estimate converting my wood burning fireplace to a ventless fireplace. I also had an insert that needed removal and disposal. We ended up getting the log set installed along with fireplace doors, at a very competitive price. Their installers Bill and Jeff showed they were real pro's with decades of experience between them. They removed my 300+ lb insert, installed gas line, log set and door set in about 5 hours. Installed chimney pipe in my brand new home, during install they scratched the black pipe. They attempted to spray paint the scratches causing runs in the paint. After months of attempting to contact them, they returned with more spray paint and still never fixed the issue.
