my advice: DECEPTIVE – stay away because in the end, you will not save any money here. this is a large company that has progressively bought out smaller suppliers across the US. Unfortunately its business model, as evidenced from these many reviews and two of my own experiences (one in Philadelphia and one in another state) appears to focus on low price initial marketing that is quickly either switched or dwarfed by many add-on costs. In the end, you may pay a low initial price and get promises but they appear to deceive you on the phone, obfuscate, and make it almost impossible to have a productive Customer Service interaction to fix things. In fact, they have among the most predatory and deceitful Customer service reps that I have ever come across. I'm amazed that given their ratings and complaints, that legal charges for consumer protection or fraud have not shut these guys down. If there's any justice in the world, karma or a judge will give these people a rough taste of their own cruel medicine.

Ameri gas is horrible, I called them to tell them not to deliver propane because I am switching to electric heating and hot water, and electric kitchen range. I told the person I will call them when I have my new appliances installed so they can remove there tank. This was 3 weeks ago. Today I come home and there are ruts in my yard and my tank is missing. I have no propane to run my appliances the electrician isn't coming till the 13 of this month and today is April 6th so I now have no hot water, no heat and no kitchen range till after the 13th of April. The tank was half full. I feel a phone call before coming out would have been very wise on there part but I didn't even get that much. I will never use these crooks ever again.

As a new customer, I am NOT liking the experience thus far and I now see why they have a 1.2 rating! The customer service overall is TERRIBLE! I signed up as a new customer on January 14th and scheduled my delivery and was given a time frame between the 15th and 19th which is today. I was told I would receive a call a day before the delivery, which I haven't received, mind you of the delivery time frame and they arent open on the weekend. I've called a total of 3x today trying to make sure our paid propane is delivered given we're running low and these people can't even do their job effectively like promised and it's sad and a baaaad look on the company! I just wished I had checked the reviews beforehand!! UPDATE! I returned a missed call from Amerigas and no one is spoke with could tell me WHY I received that call but I CANCELED the delivery/order and REQUESTED A REFUND because I've purchase fuel from a competitor and there's no need to arrive at my home to attempt to do so like I've read in other reviews, they will be turned around and possibly TRESPASSED!

THE WORST SERVICE YOU COULD EVER GET. I am on the auto refill and so far everytime I have had to call in to get it filled. This time I was supposed to get propane 1/16-1/22 today is 1/31 and still no propane. I've called everyday and spoke to every foreigner they got and keep getting promised and have to wait on hold over 49 mins to get told they don't know anything and should be delivered. My tanks about empty and its been -8*F the last couple days. They don't have people in any office. This is out of hand with the price of propane and not being able to get it delivered. Wish I could of went with a more reliable company that is based in the USA.

I wish I could give AmeriGas zero stars. I paid for expedited delivery. No one showed. The call centers in India and Kenya assured me that gas would be delivered that afternoon (I called four days in a row). I told them I thought I might have a leak—no one came. I flagged down a delivery driver who told me that he couldn’t help. I called the emergency number listed at the local distributor-it went to a call center in Kenya. I finally put a sign on the chain link fence and someone came out the next day. Many more similar experiences with this company.
